GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

• The last date for Abstract submission is 15^th July 2025 at 23.59 hours (IST). Late submissions will not be accepted. You should only submit an abstract if you intend to attend the conference. Registration is mandatory for an abstract to be considered for oral and poster presentation as well as will be removed from publication. Use the specified format/template for Abstract submission.
• All Abstract must be submitted through the ONLINE SUBMISSION on the conference website www.transcon2025.com
• If you have difficulty while submitting the online abstract kindly write to the conference secretariat at [email protected] with the description or snapshot of the error.
• Accepted Abstracts will be presented at dedicated sessions for Oral Presentations at the Golden Jubilee Edition of the Annual National Conference of the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology or will be given a chance for Poster Presentations as per the reviewers’ consensus decision.
• Incomplete Abstracts will not be accepted. All Abstracts submitted must comply with the following guidelines to be considered for acceptance. Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be by email only, through the conference secretariat.
• Registration for the conference is mandatory for submission.
• Abstracts are to be submitted via the Submission Portal.
• Abstract submission via other modes such as e-mail or any offline mode is prohibited.
• If you decide to withdraw a case after submission, please write to the secretariat by 30^th July 2025.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, you can contact us at [email protected]. Once you have completed your registration and submitted the abstract you will not be allowed to amend it.

If you are not able to submit your abstract at the time of registration, you can do it in the future before the submission deadline by modifying your registration details with the help of your registered email ID and registration number.

ABSTRACT STRUCTURE AND CONTENT:

You should adopt the following structured format except for case reports;

• Background including aims
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusions

Presenting author's contact details:Email address, Affiliation with address, postal address and phone number

• Author and co-authors' details: Full name, affiliation details: department, institution/hospital, city, state and country.
• Abstract title - limited to 25 -30 words.
• Abstract text- maximum 500 words with abstract content (excluding the Title, and Author/s details).
• Font Type: Arial
• Font Size: 12
• Information or concepts expressed must be novel. Abstracts will be checked for plagiarism. Anyone found indulging in plagiarism shall be debarred from this and any future conference by ISBTI.
• The scientific method must be sound and results or outcomes should be within the abstract. Plans for work without evidence or results do not usually constitute an adequate abstract.
• Avoid personal criticisms of individuals/institutions. Criticism should be restricted to the scientific content, on an evidence base.
• Graphics, figures and pictures are not allowed.
• Keywords are not allowed.
• The abstract must be submitted in English.

• Blood Components/Products
• Immunohematology
• Blood Safety and Infectious Disease Marker (IDM) testing (including NAT testing)
• Cellular Therapies.
• Clinical Transfusions
• Molecular and Transplant Immunology (Includes HLA)
• Quality Management and Accreditation
• Hematology and Coagulation

ABSTRACT REVIEW, SELECTION AND PUBLICATION

• A panel of reviewers (subject experts) will review the abstracts. An abstract may be selected for an oral or poster presentation depending on the reviewers’ consensus decision. The names and institutions’ names are removed before the review process. Kindly do not call or try to influence the review process. This may debar you from this conference proceedings.
• The first author will receive a confirmation of acceptance for oral presentation, poster presentation, or a notice of rejection, by e-mail by 31^st August 2025. The presenting author may be different from the first author provided her/his name is in italics and underlined and clearly communicated by the first author in e-mail. The presenting author also has to register for the conference.
• Oral presenters will be informed about the selection and the date and time of the session and presentation guidelines will be provided. Poster presenters will be informed about the date and time of the poster session and will receive guidelines for their presentation. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Asian Journal of Transfusion Science.
• It is very important for Poster authors to indicate if they are unable to attend the conference to prevent empty Poster panels!
